According to reports, Trevor Bauer, the ex-pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers and a recipient of the Cy Young Award, is taking legal action against his accuser for breaching their settlement agreement.

The news outlet TMZ indicated that the 33-year-old filed a lawsuit against Lindsey Hill, his accuser, earlier this week. Hill had previously alleged that Bauer sexually assaulted her in his Pasadena residence, claiming that he strangled her into unconsciousness and compelled her to engage in sexual activity during two encounters.

However, Bauer defended himself by asserting that their interactions were consensual and intense. Their conflicting legal claims were anticipated to be resolved by October 2023. Fast forward to the present, Bauer has accused Hill of violating the conditions of their settlement by expressing her views on social media and participating in a podcast.

TMZ reports suggested that Hill mentioned receiving $300,000 as part of the settlement. Bauer clarified that the money came from her father’s insurance payout, not from him. In his latest legal action, Bauer is requesting $220,000 in predetermined damages and legal fees. Bauer has been striving to rejuvenate his professional baseball career following a 194-game suspension for violating MLB’s policies on domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.
