Teoscar Hernandez put up a stellar performance for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Hernandez made a significant contribution to the team’s World Series victory with his reliable performance at the plate. This prominent power hitter is highly sought after as one of the premier outfielders in free agency.
Despite turning down the qualifying offer from the Dodgers, the team is eager to keep Hernandez on board. Numerous teams have been linked with a potential pursuit of Hernandez, but he himself has expressed a strong desire to continue with the Dodgers.
Amid the ongoing trade speculations surrounding Teoscar Hernandez, insider David Vassegh of the Dodgers is confident that the negotiations are in their final stages. Vassegh has indicated that Hernandez is on the verge of signing a multi-year contract with the team.
“Based on the word circulating within the league, it appears likely that Teoscar Hernández will extend his stay with the Dodgers. Both parties are now ironing out the final details of the contract as the MLB Winter Meetings loom closer,” Vassegh mentioned, as reported by the Dodgers beat.

Potential Departure of Juan Soto from Dodgers After Signing Teoscar Hernandez
Previously in the running for Juan Soto, the Dodgers are now expected to withdraw their interest in him as they focus on securing Hernandez. Having clinched the World Series title without Soto, many believe the team can thrive without his addition.
Insiders suggest that the Dodgers may have proposed a contract worth nearly $600 million to Soto. Pursuing him may not align with the team’s broader financial strategy, especially considering previous deferred payments to other players. Additionally, they could utilize that substantial sum to secure the services of multiple other top-tier players.
Hernandez achieved a personal best of 33 home runs during his time with the Dodgers. He concluded the season with a .272 batting average, a .339 OBP, and an .840 OPS. Hernandez also drove in 99 RBIs and scored 84 runs across 589 plate appearances.
Dave Roberts and his team have a favorable opportunity to keep their star hitter in the squad. Given the high demand for Hernandez from other teams, the Dodgers must expedite their actions. While the contract specifics remain unknown, it seems like the Dodgers are close to finalizing the deal. Hernandez has been a linchpin for the team alongside Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and several other standout performers.
