Jack Flaherty is still an unrestricted agent hoping to join a team. Even with his World Series participation with the Los Angeles Dodgers, developments are not progressing positively for the pitcher. Flaherty’s performance in 2024 received a variety of responses as he fell short of expectations.
A number of free-agent pitchers were prioritized over Flaherty, enabling them to secure contracts with different teams. While Flaherty is anticipated to land somewhere in 2025, few teams have expressed interest in the starter. The Dodgers brought Flaherty onboard near the season’s conclusion; nevertheless, they haven’t indicated any willingness to re-sign him.
This offseason, the Dodgers have brought in multiple players on deferred contracts, prompting numerous inquiries. Many believe they are diminishing the integrity of baseball by acquiring so many players. Yet, Jack Flaherty holds a different perspective. He took to social media to convey his support for the Dodgers.
“A certain team is not ruining baseball. A lot of other teams are just making minimal efforts,” Flaherty posted.

Jack Flaherty Desires Reunion With The Dodgers
Though he may not have articulated it explicitly, it’s apparent that Flaherty seeks a reunion with the Dodgers. Nearly every player aspires to join the Dodgers roster, particularly now that they are seen as a powerhouse.
Flaherty’s time in Dodger Blue was brief, yet he appeared to appreciate playing alongside some of the league’s finest hitters. With the Dodgers now featuring several other stars in their starting rotation, the possibility of Jack Flaherty’s reunion remains uncertain.
The Dodgers may not consider pursuing Flaherty since they have Roki Sasaki and Shohei Ohtani prepared to pitch shortly. Like Flaherty, Clayton Kershaw is also awaiting a contract offer from the Dodgers.
