According to reports by Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Los Angeles Dodgers have reached an agreement with former relief pitcher Joe Jacques, who previously played for the Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks.
“Joe Jacques, a left-handed relief pitcher, has signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He has been granted an invitation to join their major league camp next spring. Over the past two years, he has appeared in 25 games in the major leagues with the Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks,” Nightengale posted on X, previously known as Twitter.
At 29 years old, Jacques debuted in Major League Baseball in 2023 with the Red Sox, achieving a 5.06 ERA in 26.2 innings pitched. He played two MLB games in 2024, one each with the Red Sox and the Diamondbacks. Now, he is on his way to the Dodgers under a minor league agreement.
