The New York Yankees are not finished with their acquisitions as they persist in pursuing free agents. Recently, the Yanks signed Tim Hill to a one-year $2.85 million contract. The Bronx Bombers boast a strong starting rotation and are keen on reinforcing their bullpen.

The latest speculation indicates that the team is interested in acquiring a left-handed pitcher for their bullpen. The Yanks are focusing on former Detroit Tigers pitcher Matt Moore. The organization had a fruitful offseason despite missing out on Juan Soto.

Moore will be economical and a beneficial addition for the Yankees. There’s always room for more pitchers. According to Spotrac, Moore is anticipated to secure a contract worth $3.4 million.

The seasoned pitcher is eagerly anticipating an offer to arrive. The Yanks won’t incur significant loss if they aim for Moore. The All-Star hurler had difficulties with the Angels last season, posting a 5.03 ERA. Nevertheless, his previous seasons and statistics were commendable. The Yanks can benefit from having a veteran pitcher in their bullpen. Furthermore, a left-handed option would provide them with an additional edge.

Yankees Possess A Superior 10-Man Bullpen For 2025

Besides their powerful six pitchers, the Yanks have established a robust 10-man bullpen. If they finalize a deal with Moore, he will become the 11th pitcher. Currently, they feature top closer Devin Williams, followed by crowd favorite Luke Weaver.

The Bronx Bombers have also welcomed back Jonathan Loaisiga. It’s going to be difficult for opposing hitters to navigate through such a strong bullpen. The Yankees managed their strategy effectively after missing out on Juan Soto. They fortified their pitching roster but still have an opening to fill.

The exit of Gleyber Torres posed a significant challenge. The organization has yet to recruit a robust second baseman to succeed Torres. With Anthony Volpe at shortstop, Paul Goldschmidt at first, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. at third, they undoubtedly possess one of the top defensive groups.

However, the Yankees need to acquire a significant player for second base. Another possibility is relocating Chisholm to second and bringing in Alex Bregman. It’s a long shot, yet not out of the realm of possibility. The Boston Red Sox are aggressively pursuing Bregman.
