As per the report by Paul Lukas from Uni Watch, the New York Yankees are making adjustments to their away uniforms for the upcoming 2024 MLB season:
“It is well known that the Yanks’ away jerseys have historically featured white outlining on the chest lettering and back number, along with ornamental trim on the sleeve cuffs. The white outlining and sleeve trim were both introduced in 1973, when the team moved from flannels to stretch knits. However, as indicated in a segment from the 2024 MLB Style Guide provided by a source, the white outlining and sleeve trim will be removed this season”
As depicted in the images below, the white outlining on “New York” across the chest will be erased, and the sleeve trimming will also be eliminated.
