Guitarist and vocalist Tom Delonge of Blink 182 celebrated the San Diego Padres victory on Wednesday in a unique fashion. He presented his actual guitar from an iconic music video to catcher Kyle Higashioka.
A clip surfaced on X, the platform previously known as Twitter, revealing Higashioka in the locker room following the Padres’ 4-0 triumph over the Braves. A mysterious voice informed the catcher that Delonge had been present at the game and witnessed his home run.
In response to the home run and Padres’ success, Delonge decided to gift Higashioka the guitar used in the “All the Small Things” music video.
Interestingly, Higashioka had even mastered playing the intro to this song, which he showcased in another area of the Padres’ facility.

Subsequent to receiving Delonge’s gift, Higashioka delivered an impressive performance by hitting another home run in his first at-bat. This propelled the Padres to a 5-4 victory over the Braves, advancing them to 2-0 in the series.
This triumph propelled the Southern California squad to the next round of the playoffs, setting up a series against the Dodgers.
Delonge, a native of Southern California and a devoted Padres supporter, has been present at numerous games and frequently expressed his admiration for the MLB team on his social platforms.
He even shared a video on social media, demonstrating him seated in the stands at a baseball game as “All the Small Things” played over the speakers.

This enthusiasm led to an intriguing event for Delonge at the beginning of October, where he threw the ceremonial first pitch for the opening game of the series between the Padres and the Braves.
This set the stage for Padres’ 4-0 victory. The following day, his hometown team secured another win to complete the sweep in the series.
Besides Delonge, another prominent figure contributing to the Braves’ victory was the legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, who threw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2 on Wednesday.
